Description
Been a while since I drew something new, besides sketchbook doodles that is! I'm really looking forward to the new mystery dungeon (even with its disappointingly tiny playable character roster... and the fact that not all pokemon are in it) so here's a team picture of sorts. I have Haxorus and Samurott myself in Gates to Infinity. Swords Dance has been my main move on them for a long time.

Finished the main story line the other day, I chose Oshowatt as my main character and a pikachu as my partner, although I have no regrets with the choice, I certaintly love the details you put into this pic. Simply b.e.a.-utiful

I've played through Gates to Infinity now! I'll try to summarise my thoughts and not waffle too much..!
Well I was very pleasantly suprised with the story, not entirely sure why but I was nervous it wouldn't be very good (This was possibly due to the previous PMD games' story, those WiiWare ones, being something about evil chocolate or whatever it was...). For me, it didn't top Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky's plotline, but it was still brilliant fun with loads of humor, and got me teary eyed at points. I cried through the whole ending, which I was hoping for as the Rescue Team and Explorers games also got me crying
The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic, I played most of the game with headphones in so I could listen to it better!
The actual mystery dungeons seemed somewhat easier than previous games, with less floors and more break points between them. One thing I was pretty disappointed with was the very short post-ending story, and the fact that after it's completed there isn't really that much left to do. The only two 99 floor dungeons present reset your levels to 5. I'm not too keen on those challenges but do enjoy the longer dungeons (like Buried Relic from Rescue Team, or dungeons with around 40 floors or so) which can be quite challenging but not quite as frustrating as the ones with added restrictions. But that's just me!
I guess the long and short of it is, I loved the game a lot and that's why I wish it had more post-ending stuff to do, because I still want to carry on so badly! Guess I'll just have to get round to drawing some scenes from it instead or something...!

Wow, that's kind of how I felt. I agree when you say that the overall length of the story is not much when compared to Explorers of Time/Darkness/or Sky's plot. I too wish their were post-ending stuff, that would have made the game all the more amazing.
I totally agree, as well as the other millions of Pokemon fans that have played PMD Gates to Infinity, the soundtrack is ridiculously amazing! Now all nintendo has to do is put that kind of quality music in PKMN X and Y and they'll can have my money for sure!!! *Crosses fingers*
Back to the dungeons of PMD Gates to Infinity, they did seem to lack difficulty, especially the final boss with >@!#$ (<-- won't spoil). I could have been better but, on the bright side, I think this was just an experiment of Nintendo for future PMD games!!! OH HOW i CAN'T WAIT!!

Yup, X and Y will be amazing if they have music like Gates to Infinity! And darn, another PMD game would be absolutely fantastic! Can always hope they are planning another one (with all the Pokemon back in it, preferably!)

I just wish that there were more options, though. ;u; Otherwise my team would be Minccino + Drillbur. Only because they'd be good choices/outcomes for the starter/partners, and they'd look cute together. xD Hopefully, more choices for Gates to Heaven/Gates to Infinity 2/whatever. If it gets made.

I was disappointed with the lack of characters, too. But i ended up choosing Snivy and Tepig to make a balanced team! >w< But the stupid thing is that You and your partner are always male! I didn't know this so my partner's nickname is a female one. >m<

I just heard from another deviant about this male-only thing, the really annoying part is the Japanese version of the game lets you choose both character's genders! I just don't understand why they'd take that feature out...
As for the characters, I'll be using these two, cuz I'm playing as Axew and my friend is using Oshawott, but otherwise it would be axew and tepig

I ended choosing me as Pikachu and Axew as my partner! ^^ The only thing that really upsets me is that you never get a chance to choose your gender, and I'm a girl. ): You can obviously see in Pikachu's tail that you're forced to be a male.

Me too, in away Ilike the game as I like the PMD gmes in general. But I also feel this one didn't live up to the standards of the others. It feels kinda rushed somehow.

I'm in the UK so have to wait until May to play it, but I have the feeling it isn't going to be quite as amazing as the previous games. Half the Pokemon are missing for a start! But yeah, I love PMD games so will probably still enjoy it also

I hope that the ending is a tear jerker like the other two stories, though I'm not yet convinced it will be as dramatic as Time/Darkness/Sky. I'm hoping to be pleasantly suprised though!
