Thank you very much. I think b&w is magic. It is like seeing light in shades of grey is somehow more pure than color. (We have a min pin/boston terrier, great animals.)

I think this one stands out from your gallery the best.
It could be better though if the dog and the man would be looking at each because somehow it bothers me that the dog is not really in the moment there, if you hopefully know what I mean.
Nice photo anyways. The angle is good and the composition is nice too.

I agree 100 %. I had not taken photography seriously for twenty years and I thought I would join DA to experiment and see where it led me. I promised myself I would try new things, look at others work, and after one year I would either leave DA or change my gallery to more of a real art gallery. (Most likely all black and white work.) I think my time is almost up. I intend to do some street work myself as soon as the holidays are over.

Hehe. So do you think you've had any progression through deviantart? I think this isn't the best place if you are looking to improve your skills, because everyone is so polite and don't have the courage to critique. Good critique is the best way to learn and improve, or atleast to me it has been.

I disagree. But that is what makes us all different.

What a great picture! Dad's a handsome dude. The dog is looking quite content with his buddy. Good contrast, composition and detail here. I like the grain too.

Thanks so much. I think this was shot on one of the c-41 process b&w films, either Kodak or Ilford, I forget. I really like film but I'm too lazy to get it developed.
I hope all is well with you. Your work is getting so amazing. I really enjoy your perspectives with that wide lens!
