Like all fictional bokors, Dr Hoodoo tends to emulate Baron Samedi whenever he wants to scare and impress others. Even though he mostly uses all sorts of trickery, illusions and blatant lies to create an illusion of having supernatural powers, the events of "Superfly Superheroes" made it purposefully vague whether he actually does have genuine powers, and is merely using parlor tricks to hide it. Either way, Dr Hoodoo is a supervillain one should not take lightly.
