These are the preliminary idea sketches (the first assignment) to my fencing inspired clothing line I'm designing in Concept Development II. I was sketching ideas for menswear as well as womens wear, since I didn't know which I wanted to fully do at the time. I have since chosen to do some of the menswear garments. In the next assignment after this one, we were to take these and choose the 3 best designs and develop them further.Related content

No no, these are my own designs. The concept I was working around was to take a sport (fencing, of course) and make streetwear clothing inspired by fencing clothes.

If I had any money I would most certainly commission them, but sadly regular fencing gear is expensive enough as it is...

I thoroughly recommend it. There is nothing like being able to stab someone, while knowing that they won't be severely harmed in the process.

and ironically, it's probably one of the safest sports in the world.

Lovely work. Costumes are one of my things. One day, I want a basement filled with costumes. Surely you dont' mind all the favs though.

Well, that would be something I'm interested in, making costumes for movies or theatre, but I would also enjoy having my own boutique or online shop or work for a company I admire... But about those shoes, I've only made one pair I wear [link] but I would really enjoy making some more...

The ones I like the best, the ones that would be the most visually stimulating when translated into actual clothing would be... hmmm 4, 10 with some embroidery detail on the jacket/wrap & 16. It's really good design work.

Well i enjoy the designs of 1, 8 and 10 for the male the most out of all the male designs

it's just a first to see someone use a trench coat design generally for a fencing outfit i guess it would make folling the wearers movments slightly more difficult lol

Well keep in mind that these aren't clothes intended to be worn during fencing but rather street clothes inspired by fencing

i know that but a padded vest in that style doesn'tseem all that bad ^^ like a walking punching bag lol, oh and what you think of the new characters
