Description EOS 60D | EF-S 10-22 @12 | 1/200s | f/5 | ISO 100 | 4 Vertical Stitched Images

So the weather didn't really cooperate with us this day, but we had to try and make it to Milford Sound (it was actually ok when we finally got there!) but we made a few stops along the way one of which was here at Mirror Lake.

As awesome as a place as it was, I struggled a bit to come up with what I felt was an interesting image, especially given the weather. I decided that a wide angle stitched panorama could give me a nice view of the whole scene while framing the mountains with the trees.

Enjoy!

I think you made a great choice. This one would be completely fine in b&w, too.

Thanks LeeAnne, you know I actually had a B&W conversion layer in there during editing and definitely considered this one as B&W, but I can never seem to get the conversion to something I am actually happy with... I might try anyways and post it up for comparison at some point.

Thanks! There is in the sense that this image was actually created by combining 4 separate images in a stitched panorama. Other than that, I just did fairly usual edits, color, contrast and the like.
