The points of light you see on the face of the mountain, and Half Dome as well, are mountain climbers who are busy bunking down for the evening. The moon was just rising and casting itβs brilliant light across the valley.Camera: Nikon D90

Awesome Matt! It was so cool to see the side of El Capitan lit up from the climbers lights! This was such a beautiful night all around! I have to say night photography is not easy! Out of about 100 shot, I think 5 turned out for me...Can't wait to see your Moonbow shots! I'm happy with mine!

That's a good ratio actually. I bring lots of SD cards with me, and fill them up. This trip saw me use 24.5 Gb in order to get probably 10 images and enough AVI movies to make a small short out of. The moonbow image will be coming soon.

The location is something I've been sworn to secrecy on by the people who I was with, and it was a pretty cool place. We didn't dare shoot from the lower falls because of all the people using flashes there and it being a huge crowd. It was a beautiful night indeed!
