Description Johnny Cash (1932-2003)

Cash was known for his deep, distinctive voice, the boom-chick-a-boom or "freight train" sound of his Tennessee Three backing band, his demeanor, and his dark clothing, which earned him the nickname "The Man in Black."

He sold more than 90 million records, in a career that spanned almost 50 yrs. A true American Icon, he inspired musicians for years, and will continue to influence musicians for generations to come.

I know right, and now I have a Heath Ledger, Bo Diddley, and Paul Newman in the works...There's just something about doing a memorial piece that I really enjoy doing..

Most of my drawings are 9x12, on 11x14 paper. Mainly cause that's what will fit on my scanner...someday I'll get a digital camera and be able to do really big things...till then I do what I can..

This was a commision, and the other one would have taken wayyyy too long, and the money, though I appreciate it, just wasn't right for that one, so I picked this one that was more worth what I got. I will do that other one too, but I would charge more for it.
