Ok, as per usual with me, this is done, for now. I darkened it as much as I could for now. After I spray it, and let it dry, I'll decide if I'm going to do more on it. But for now, I'm quite happy with how it turned out.This is my tribute to a true American icon, and Hollywood Screen Legend......John Wayne.

Thank you soo much. I really appriciate that. All I'm trying to do with these, is something like what my grandfather did years ago...he had a series of prints done on, I think it was the most influential people in the world 1900-1950. It included Churchil, Roosevelt, Einstien..and a few others. But it was amazing, and I thought, what the heck, may as well pay tribute to the man that made me pick up a pencil and try to do what he did...

Honestly I almost wish I was a huge fan of his because this drawing has that kinda OMG effect.

You can still have that OMG effect. I mean I have that happen all the time. For me, it's all about the work. There's a guy here, That does these drawings of Christina Aguillara (or however you spell it.) And, no, I'm not a big fan of hers, but his work is unbelieveable. (I added the icon so you could see it too.) He does some amazing work, that I strive to be more like....

Yeah, look in my gallery....a lot of the stuff I did last year, my earliest submissions. I think most of those are crappy now....but at the time I thought they were cool. (Plus, if it sucks, do you really think I'm gonna submit it...duhhh...lol.)
(Ok folks, has to be known. Matt is being a sarcastic prick today. So please, read the meaning behind what he says, not the literal.....he just took his sarcasm pills today, and now Matt should be punished. So please, Don't hate Matt for this, he can't control it sometimes. Why do you think he holds the record for most times written up in one week at Disney World....cause one day, he got sick of the stupid questions tourists asked, and was answering them quite sarcasticly. Oh he got a 5-day "vacation" for it....but he is still proud of that...lol)

Ohhhh...see, I was an English minor in college, which meant that I took a lot of English classes. I just didn't go to them all the time. So I probably missed that day....
See, I had my time in life, where I drank, had casual sex, smoked a little dope, stayed up all night, hung out with friends at Denny's, went to clubs, and just had a great time. I called it, "My Happy Fun Time."
Unfortunately, my parents, and everyone else for that matter, called it College. Which would explain why it took me 7 years to finish....

No, I was 18. And here, you go to college cause A) you want that higher education so you can be a productive member of society. B) you can't get enough of education, and want to just keep learning...or C) Your dad tells you when you are 10...don't get any ideas there pal..you're going to college, like it or not....

Hey, I was a jock. I played basketball in H.S. and College, untill I blew my knee out. Thank god I could draw though...or else i'd have been in trouble. But not all jocks are bad....I was a very nice one...

When I read the title I was expecting Ellington and now I have "John Hardy's Wife" stuck in my head 
This good stuff. I like the contrast and the composure. Great pose! Really shows that personality.
The area on his right temple seems a tad odd, because it's so blank. For some reason it comes off as kind of flat or unfinished. I realise it's part of the lighting, but for some reason it doesn't seem to fit. This could very well simple be me though.
But seriously, You just get better and better. Outstanding job!

Yeah, I was looking at that part too...I'll probably do a little to that, as well as other areas later on. I had to stop where I did, cause I started to get that "Oh when am I gonna be done with this..." kinda feeling....and didn't want to mess it all up. I'll do some work on something else, and come back to this one though...
