I got to be a huge JD fan from my 5th grade teacher. Now that is a James Dean freak....his first sons name is James Dean Pliggie...so yeah big fan. He was my fave teacher of all time...he had posters up on the walls of Dean and others...wore sunglasses in class, played in a rock band, had contests for cokes in class..(huge for us) all the while actually getting me to give a damn about school and learning...he's always been a mentor, and now a friend...

Thank you. He has always been a favorite of mine, and for the time being, I've only done this one, but plan on a few more.

No, not really. Don't have that software as of yet. And if I did, wouldn't know how to use it yet anyway. Going to take some photoshop classes here soon. (when i can) and that should do something for me.

Funny how that happens. I mean I don't have any children, but I did live with friends and my neice when she was born, and I remember getting all settled to do something, and "Wahhh" the princess needed something. lol..

Just my basic set...2H, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B, and 7B. This one , I actually really enjoyed working on...i don't know, watching it go from grid to this just made me feel good, like I finally finished something. (I think it's cause I started this one like 8 months ago..-)

I know what you mean, I was asking because I like your shading technique on this one and those white shades are really well done. I am working on a Dean Portrait right now, hope it will become as good as yours...

Well, as far as shading and stuff...I kind of am expierimenting with a few things. uses cotton balls, and qtips. Which I think I'm going to try soon..for blending. For now I use tissues, tortillions, and paper stumps. I read somewhere not to use your fingers, something about the oils on your fingers gets left behind and stays on the paper. I don't know...just figured I'd let you know how I do it. (by the way, the guy check his stuff out, it's incredible.)

Awwww..thanks hon. (it's ok if I call you that?) I actually did that one as a gift, I'm going to get a print of it, and send it to my 5th grade teacher. He's really the one who made me who I am today. Well, he's the one that put a basketball in my hand, after he put a book on my desk. Hell, I almost became a teacher cause of him. (Still might, I don't know) But thanks, I, as always, really appriciate it.
I did post a new WIP. I got on this Hollywood's Golden Age thing.
