So I told you at some point a friend of mine is going as Princess Tutu for the expo in october.Well I finished most of it.
It's a pretty basic costume to be honest, you can't see them but there are three skirts.
A white 4 layered of tule tutu attached to the leotard, a pink tutu consisting of 7 layers of tule and a plain white skirt with the wings and 3 blue strips attached.
Main fabric used was tule, lycra and a cotton an lycra mix for the white skirt.
Now honesty time the wings and the beads were not made by me but by a friend of mine living in the US.
The rest is made by yours truely.
Now all that's needed for my friends cosplay is the wig, necklace and feathered head band.

Well the skirt and the wings where brought from cosplay.com from a previous princess tutu cosplayer, same with the arm puffs. Tulle is the best fabric to use for tutu's I also find a cotton and lycra mix to much much comfortable for the bodice/leotard. Is there anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask away

Anyone can make a tutu it just takes time and practice. I practiced on a small piece of netting first then went on to tulle. There are plenty of tutorials online that are very helpful. I followed a good on on youtube that helped. The size, it really isn't that heavy it depends on the amount of layers a practice tutu (a.k.a pancake tutus) are very heavy they have tons of layers that's one of my next challenges.
