Garm is strange in that he basically is Fenrir only he is more savage and animalistic where Fenrir is cunning and intelligent. I never quite understood why it was Garm who slew Tyr and not Fenrir since it was through Tyr's actions that Fenrir was bound for a 1000 years with a sword in his jaw.
My theory is that Fenrir being as powerful as he was, managed to make incarnations of himself to start a breed of evil wolves to serve him at Ragnarok, one of which he sent to guard his sister who has no strength of her own. As for him not being the one to slay Tyr, I think he was more interested in the glory of devouring Allfather to show that even the most powerful of gods can be broken.

You're actually correct, to a degree.
Fenrir is said to have spawned two lesser wolves: skoll, who shall swollow the sun and Hati, who will claim the moon.
As for why Fenrir doesn't kill Tyr, it is likely that Odin was simply destined to be his first encounter and upon killing him he is immediately slain by Vidar, Fenrir was never given the chance to find Tyr.

have I conceived in my mind the idea of giant wolves, giant lycanthropes, and have I even thought of a "giant Worgen"...but a "Garm"??? .... not wise on that mythological creature...a giant Garm... it is beautiful. excellent work.
