The Devastator Heavy Tank. Most of the Administrations vehicles have a reputation for being solidly built and reliably designs, even the older ones. Keyword there being most. While few new vehicles are introduced so those who build, maintain, and upgrade the old can maintain there wealth and power. That being said, new vehicles are introduced, via two scenarios. The first is that the old vehicle is so outdated that the need for a replacement cannot be ignored. The second reason is that an Administrator or a cabal thereof, tries to introduce a new vehicle in order to gain power. Usually via assuring positions to those who are at risk of losing power, or by raising new Administrators that are loyal to whoever promoted them. Most of these new vehicles are quite strange and quirky, and many Generals argue that these vehicles have no place on the battlefield.

The Devastator Super Heavy Tank was one such power move. Proposed toward the end of the dawning days as a counter to the rising numbers of armored vehicles among the other factions. As the name implies the Devastator is easily one of the most heavily armored tanks employed amongst the factions. The Devastator is built around a triple barreled 120mm rotating cannon. This is not intended to take out machines of equal weight. More so at the time it was thought that the Devastator would be engaging large amounts of smaller enemy tanks. Its secondary armament is a lesser pair of turrets mounted on the main turrets. These are equipped with quad .50 cal machine guns. This was to counter the Devastators obvious vulnerability to infantry (one of the few things on the devastator Generals will admit makes sense). While the placement on the top turret may be a bit awkward, being on the top of the tank does gives them a good view of fire.

Despite the amount of automation the Administration, and the Devastator in particular has, it has one of the largest crews in the Administrations motor pool. Its has the standard driver, gunner, and commander. However it is so large is has its own onboard engineer, which is in charge of the complex main cannon and the tanks power plant, which is less of an engine and more of a generator that you would find attached to a small house. The two quad mg turrets also have their own gunners, since the onboard computers are occupied with the main cannon and the generator.

Most of the military considers these tanks to be a bad idea, however the Administrators want it and so it happened. These tanks rarely see action. They are maintenance intensive and consume a lot of ammo and fuel. Devastators are only deployed in large scale battles. And while their heavy armor and firepower does come in handy. Its slow speed has caused problems. While the Devastator crews love working with the vehicle, even they admit it has problems. Despite this, there is a steady stream of crewmen, usually from hardcore tank enthusiasts. Administration has paraded the vehicle as a sign of the military might, and has actually showed of the tank in parades. Most civilians simple grumble that all the money and resources are going to flashy projects like this while they are wearing essentially prison uniforms and can only eat tasteless gruel.
