Swellows have a rather shallow movepool, and a male Swellow has no good moves to pass on to offspring. Useless. Swellows rely heavily on speed, and Tsubame's speed IV is 3. Worthless! Tsubame has always been terrible within his niche, within his species, no matter how you look at it he's a metagame reject. But he was the first bird I met on my Hoenn journey, so he became mine. And he tried his absolute best at every challenge before us. And he has survived and grown and climbed ever higher. He's level 100 now. He feels an obligation to help the newer Pokemon reach their potential, to give them the same chance he was given. He will never be a top battler, but he can carry his friends as high as they can go.
