Gabe liked the three alternative sketches I sent him so much that he commissioned me for all of them. I'm very grateful for the work! This was fun to work on, too - lots of fun little details. I'm not perfectly happy with the arrangement of darks and lights, but it's okay.Related content

Augh those X's! Darn them. I guess I need to use a higher-tolerance selection tool. It's okay, though - they don't show in the copies I sent Gabe. Those are actually filled in with ink. Many hours of fun with Sharpie!

Yeah, I think my monitor is pretty light... well, light or dark depending on what angle it's at. Darn those LCDs! Also, my mom's computer was always really dark, so all the art I did on it looks weird now. Color matching is my enemy.
I could teach you how to put the lineart on a separate layer, without the white... but maybe you know.

gabriel, on the other hand, is PERFECTLY happy with the arrangement of darks and lights, and is in some serious danger of squeeing himself to death...he is also grateful for the gorgeous picture, the extremely high standard of design and execution, and the speed of completion...
