Description I work at Daegu University in South Korea. This year is the university's 50th anniversity, and there are festivals being held at the moment in honor of the occasion. I stumbled upon a wildflower display setup inside a number of large corridor-like tents, and snapped a few shots. They are all Korean wildflowers. I have no idea what genus & species they are, as I didn't pay attention to the Korean signs...

This flower caught my attention due to the bright yellows and symmetrical shape.

Lens: crappy EF 18-55mm kit lens.

Thanks for your reply: It is a nice one, isn't it! Quite strange, yet beautiful. You should visit Korea sometime in your life - it's a pretty amazing country. Don't come now though, unless you like winter sports. It's getting far too cold from what I am used to in Australia!

I love winter sports
and bout the Korea, I do imagine how beautiful is Korea, as my mother lived (in NORTH one O.O!) for 1,5 year so she told me how it is there. and I have a lot souvenirs and photos from this country

thanks for your comment - it is a pretty spaced out flower, definitely! Nothing like that back in Australia either, as far as I know.

thanks very much - it'd be pretty cool if it was a ball! Throwing it around on the beach would be fun...

What a lovely flower! Never seen anything like it (probably due to the obvious reason of not living in Korea! ) Beautiful shape.
