Meh I know this is an old comment but I disagree. Not because I'm an atheist extremist, but because not all atheists are liberals; and that includes the ones who disrespect other people's beliefs. There are an ample amount of rightist libertarian atheists right now. I myself prefer the label "secular humanist" because atheist is becoming a dirty word slowly but surely...and I'm centre-left and I strongly oppose communism.

Because communism is an extreme secular movement. No belief, no public or private opinion. Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Vladimir Lenin ordered the execution of religious figures if they didn't denounce jesus. Not just Christianity, but any religious belief was strictly watched over, in case anyone talked out against leaders.

I agree. People seem to lack the common sense that it's the people's actions to blame, not the religion itself. Taking religion away isnt' going to solve any problems because people make their own problems by hating on anything that's different than them. I've met extremists on all sides (religious and non-religious), and i've met wonderful people on all sides (religious and non-religious), so it's not religion that's the problem. People are the problem. And I really wish they would stop blaming non-living things for the actions of each person, and just accept everyone is different without trying to change anyone. I have different friends that believe in different things, so why can't the world get along like my friends get along? It is possible if people learn to stop judging others and accept them regardless of what they believe in.
Simply, I agree with your stamp, and the extremists are to blame on all sides for making things worse.

Yeah, we should have no religion! Then we should get rid of everything else that makes people different, like artistic tastes, choice of clothes, choice of diet, choice of ANYTHING THAT MAKES ANYONE DIFFERENT!
