Changed the Symbiote OC's name from Bane to Blight,
as the latter makes for a better parallel to Venom's name
(and while ALSO a Batman Villain, isn't as well known as Bane is)

I Also changed Eriko's name to "Marko",
as the former name sounded too much like Emiko's name

(and, Eriko wasn't Hispanic enough.)

Okay, I was going to write a lengthy Bio about this character. but as most of that would spoil

some major plot elements for my Erma/Venom crossover story, I decided to just stick to the basics.

So, to be blunt. Marko Bolivar is the estranged, biological father

of my other Erma/Venom OC: Ezra.

Likewise, Blight (a Symbiote OC named after the Batman villain)

is Venom's "father" in this fanon continuity.

(Fun Fact: I colored him Dark Blue as a reference to how Venom, despite being Black in color,

was often miscolored as Blue in the classic Spider-Man Media.)

Marko and Blight are intended to technically be Antagonists,

but have a few good qualities that doesn't make them Villains in the traditional sense.

Both desire to make Mankind better using Symbiotes,

but success in their goals could lead to half the population being killed off.

(a sacrifice that they both deem to be necessary.

So...yeah, they have a bit of a "Thanos Complex.")

In an effort to stray from the "Scumbag Father" trope that I sometimes do,
Marko genuinely wants a good relationship with his son, Ezra.

Problem is that Marko thinks he knows what is best for his son,

and due to Ezra's young age, doesn't understand the real world like he does.

(Not helping the situation is Blight and Venom's natural antagonism against each other,
With Blight deeming Venom to be "weak" compared to himself.)

Both Marko Bolivar and Blight are aware of the existence of the hidden Yureimoto Yokai Village,
and consider the Osamu Yureimoto to be a major threat to their goals.

As such, they are watching the Yureimoto's living in Blairwood VERY closely...
