Just posting a work-in-progress of a vector illustration I'm working on. It's mostly mesh but with some normal gradients and solid colored objects as well.Feedback welcome!
Updated! She has an arm!
Updated Again! She has both legs!
I did something different with the mesh piece this time, I made the face all one mesh. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.
The jeans have been tough though... Denim texture is hard, any ideas anyone?
For those interested in seeing the mesh I've included it in the latest WIP JPG.
She has a bit of a farmers tan in the photo I'm working from so I had to lighten her arms and darken her torso a bit to get them to match better. I think it helps, plus she has more of an overall tan now! hehe

that is really really amazing! but ive got one question, did u use a mouse? or pentablet? My hand is so numb right now! lol i used a mouse with Natalie Portman's face.

Most of the time I use a mouse but sometimes my wrist gets sore selecting colors for all the mesh points and a pen tablet can be handy for that.

I don't recall but it was probably 40+ hours. The gradient mesh tool is tedious work.

Yep, I start with rectangles when I do my mesh work. Makes for a much cleaner mesh.
