Description
Here is a vector portrait of a lovely girl that goes by the name of Nazarita. Thanks go out to Knightmare-at-9 [link] for providing the photograph to work from.For those that are interested, I did this portrait without using the mesh tool and while it's not a strictly realistic approach I tried to keep it stylish while adding in some realism to keep it interesting.
Done in Adobe Illustrator CS with mostly flat colors, shape blends, and normal gradients.
As always feedback is welcome! Let-er-rip!
EDIT: Thanks for the reminder from drclay, [link] I output this directly from illustrator for a cleaner JPG file. Also, thinned out the line around the lips as some have suggested.

Hi you can find it on the left side of UI, which happens to be the tool box. The icon of two (2) overlapping box.

reeally good work, but It hink that it's not too detailled to the visage. The attention is directed to this, because have quantity contrast, and he's less detailled of rest of creation. good luck for the future^^

Hey, your work is great. sug: maybe with this one, perhaps no lip outline, or maybe just uunderneath OR a sightly darker color than the lips.
The hair looks uber cool.

Thank you very much for the comments! I really appreciate feedback. I did try to tone down the lips a bit based on previous feedback, but I agree the line around them may still be to much. I may have try like you suggest, that's a good idea. Thanks again!

Excellent illustration! The hair is very well done, nice technique. I like the fact that you achieved this look without using gradient mesh.

Although the more I use the gradient mesh tool the better I get at it and the more I look to it to solve shading problems, but yes this one was nearly mesh free... I think I used it once on the bottom lip.

You're welcome! There is a learning curve with the gradient mesh. I've used it on occasion, but was never really thrilled with the results. You seem to have mastered it. -YD
