So this is a second shot of the Canyon that leads down to Petra.Taken during the night tour....nothing better than strolling down here with a cool desert breeze, with the moon and the stars above

This is such a poetic piece. There's something about candlelight outside under a starry or moonlit sky that absolutely stirs the soul.

The first time I visited, it was almost like a religious experience! something I recommend everyone to do!
the only problem is that its not long enough; two hours in duration and as soon as you start experience the treasury they ask everyone to leave!

thank you very much for the comment, when they do this kind of thing it takes around 1000 candles to light up the path all the way along the canyon- its incredible, and whats even cooler is when the way they blow them out at the end of the night; two guys walk on either side of the canyon and simultaneously turn them out, of course its dark because we are kilometers way from city lights, so it looks like the darkness is reclaiming the canyon - section at a time!! impossible to take with a Still camera, but worth the sight

Same here, i had a shot with the moon in it, but the iso was so hight that it just looked like the sun!!!! of course i didn't realize it till i got home
