Description Cemophora coccinea copei - Northern scarlet snake that I roadcruised somewhat recently in Northwest Arkansas.

Finding one of these in the northern part of the state is an uncommon feat at best and it was a very welcome find.

Due to their specialist diet, consisting almost 100% on other reptile's eggs (small snakes and lizards), their fossorial nature, and the lack of suitable habitat, they're not easy to come by.

It's most likely a county record as well, I'm still just waiting to hear back on that. haha
