This is great. Fantastic shot of working musician. Love all that sweat and the intensity of the concentration - can almost hear the music from the image. Wonderful conversion too as always. I love these b/w's with black background. Great work Micha.

Michael - lovely strong shot of the passion of music - he really is part of the instrument. Great angle too. This one isn't as sharp as some of your other shots - were you using a higher ISO for this one? This festival has really given you a lot of inspiration and some wonderful images - the interplay of sound and vision is a treat!!

thanks Nigel.
yes u're right about the sharpness. ISO was all ISO800 but the lightning here was different and this caused in a more 'noisy' (less sharp) image after b/w conversion. and its actually not as sharp as many others. maybe I didn't focussed properly... but I don't care about the more 'dirty' look. its suits well to the performed concert.
in the past (many years ago) I shoot a lot concerts. but these days it has become really difficult without accreditation/permission. artist's managements often try to treat photogs with adhesion contracts. only jazz musicians are more liberally...
hope I'll have the same good chance to take photos at the coming next year's festival. it takes place every whitsun since 35 years...
