((I was intending to clean this up a bit before posting it here on dA but that's definitely not going to happen so I'll just go ahead ... :T;; ))I TRIED to stop myself; I really really did. But eventually the temptation to draw my versions of the Norse deities as My Little Ponies became too much to bear, and I couldn't help but get it out of my system. I'M SORRYYYYYY
characters from left to right:
Heimdall, Thor, Sif (up in the air), Loki, Freyr, and Tyr
... that Tyr pony is by far one of the strangest things I have had to draw... :T;;; a My Little Pony-style character with a missing limb is VERY unsettling. I don't even--

Yeah I looked into that and horses apparently cannot stand on three legs... :T ... buuut the My Little Pony horses don't exactly have regular horse anatomy, and they probably weigh a lot less, so maybe it would work for them... xD
Alternatively, he could make it work with *magic* somehow~ Either way I'm sure they could figure somethin' out~

Heheh... yeah... I don't know what explanation the vikings had originally intended, or if it's even something they would've had an explanation for in the first place. :T Maybe for them it was one of those "they're gods, it's natural for them to have random messed-up children" things. xD I've come up with a theory for the sake of my adaptation that ends up being a big plot point though; 'cause there's no way I'm letting something like that off the hook with a simple "it's just so" as a reason. :T I won't reveal it yet since it's pretty spoilerish, but... it also ties in to the way Loki's other children turned out to be monsters as well~ xD

And well, ol' Heimdall was raised by a bunch of mothers so he probably subconsciously picked up a handful of lady-like mannerisms~ ;DD pfffft poor bloke.
I didn't draw Odin 'cause he would've had to have larger pony proportions, kinda similar to Princess Celestia, and by the time I finished drawing these six I didn't feel like drawing any more x'DDD ... eight-legged human Sleipnir, that is a TERRIFYING thought 8T;;;

XD But of course! Now the only question is, does he shoot rainbows out of his ass to fly? Because if so 1) the gay jokes will never end and 2) this will raise some interesting questions about the Bifrost.
Poor 'Dally and his having nine mothers... he's so girly inside... that may be why he's so bitchy. Maybe he doesn't like his girly ways, but every time he tries to break them he gets yelled at by nine angry moms!
