It's hard for me to see a lot of detail due to my small screen area. However, the landscape is great as are the military vehicles. This setting and terrain kind of put me in mind of the region in and around the Alps. Am I close?

hey thanks for the comments. i can see what your saying. good observations! thanks. you have picked up on some things that were bothering me too about the green foreground stuff blending into the backdrop. thanks for making me think about some really great points!

Hey man! I love the derelict, you pulled that off really well. You could separate the foreground objects better, not so much for realism, more like for illustration purposes. Soldier dude on the left and the tanks are fading into the distant greenery a bit too much. You can use saturation, highlights and contrast with background to make them stick out more. The distant copter looks on same level as derelict due to values, making the derelict look smaller than intended in comparison. Make your object less contrasty using less value range as they fade, again, mainly for illustration purposes. Good luck with everything.

Awesome work!!
I only thing i would recommend, is to add some more atmosphere as the view goes to the crash and beyond, so the feeling of great distance gets more strong, otherwise everything looks too flat. But the details and perspective are flawless.

i think i am definitely influenced by star wars. so yeah it practically could be. did i copy it? no. that would be too tedious for me. the distinction is still slight i'd agree. i might also be influenced by james gurneys sci fi stuff too. he does these really crazy 50's style space ships on steroids that are fun. ive been looking at both those things lately.

well i'd put it this way. sometimes i like to not know the end point. that way i can still be surprised. its a way to keep me interested in the outcome. i dont always do it that way. alot of the time im painting im really meditating at the same time. i think my subconscious is definitely playing a role.
