Description another color reassignment piece using watercolors. This one was actually monochramatic blaues and highly desaturated. I played around with the scanned image in photoshop changing the colors to pinks, oranges and greens.

This is very elegant, I'm loving the subtle tones and air of mysetery.
Just lovely ^^
What kind of watercolor did you use on this? It looks a bit like watercolor pencil to my eyes....

thanks! i used winsor & newton cotman watercolors. got a compact set so easy to carry around and it has all these little compartments. love using it! but i also used watercolor pencils for the hair and sharp edges. glad you like it!

ooh, I think I have some of those XD. I like to experiment with watercolor sometimes, and those look very nice.

I much prefer this color tone to the others, it's absolutely gorgoeus. The shading is perfect- it's something I've always had trouble with when it comes to watercolor so I guess I've got this increased appreciation for it. The best part is her hair, I think. It looks wonderful!

Oh thank you so much!watercolor is a patient medium. you got to let it dry sometimes to continue working on it to avoid some blending or bleeding. the hair took the longest with all the layers. thanks again!
