Thanks! I used Gimp. I added an Alpha Channel, selected the background, and deleted it (you can do that with either the eraser tool or the "delete" on your keyboard) then I saved it as a .png file. Gimp is a free program ^^

Thanks! It was difficult XD This is probably the most detailed chibi I've ever drawn O__O It's going to get even better when I get to, say, Yuuka, or Yukari, or Yuyuko (version with poofy white dress) XD Maybe even Suwuko, with the frogs on her dress. Atleast it's fun

Yeah ^^ Personally I like Koishi's and Satori's designs the most, because if you put an image of both of them (coloured of course) into Paint or something, and then invert the colours, one looks like the other XD Clever ZUN.

I've heard somewhere that he was drunk for most of Imperishable Night, but I'm not sure about any of the other games.

That makes more sense ^^ Most of the Touhou games' plots are pretty mellow and "normal", with the most unusual probably being UFO, where as Imperishable Night was really "out there"; It almost stands out the most, sort of... kind of.

Imperishable Night, I think, got a lot of backstory thanks to Silent Sinner in Blue and Perfect Memento. I guess that's why it seems to different to the other games. 
I really should draw more Touhou stuff, actually... I've drawn Alice and Koishi, but not anyone else...

The black widow spider, I think...? *hasn't been on touhou wiki for ages* I think Parsee's meant to have a Persian outfit, or old-styled clothes at least, according to ZUN. Parsee's still one of my favourites, though. A lonely bridge princess who can manipulate jealousy? Sounds pretty cool to me at least! ^^

That would make sense ^^ I've been on the Touhou Wiki a lot lately. Koishi Komeiji's Heart-Throbbing Adventure has made me look up a bunch of characters and places so I'm not confused. >_< Before then, I never actually knew that Daiyousei was pretty popular with the Touhou fandom, or that Koakuma was, either. So I've looked up every character I could find on that wiki and read about them XD I still can't remember half of their names, but I can usually recognize the characters, sort of.
It's amazing, the many different outfits ZUN can come up with for all of his characters. That's one problem I had with my characters.. XP Parsee is cool ^^ I'm happy to have noticed that the fandom hasn't forgotten about her. Of course, if it did, she'd still probably be popular, in the same sense that Minoriko is XD Oh, I'm curious.. Which character do you end up as in this? [link]

I think that picture is about blood types, if I'm not mistaken, and I have no idea what type I am XD I'll have to ask later.
Shikieiki's last name (Yamaxanadu, meaning Judge of Paradise or something) apparently isn't a last name, it's her title, because she's judge of the dead and everything. I think I heard that on a YouTube video somewhere... as for Keine's last name I can barely remember it XD It was Kamishirawa or something?
I've noticed the character design for the more recent games like UFO and TD is getting a bit more Oriental, and less lolita-ish. I think it's because of the whole Byakuren and Miko thing going on in the plotline, and all the Taoism and Buddhism stuff. As you can see, I have little to no grasp of Japanese mythology XD

Oh, so that's the "difference" I'd noticed with some of the newer characters.. I knew something was "off", but I wasn't sure what XD True. I think Touhou 14 will probably continue the Taoism and Buddhism stuff, if not finish it. It'd be interesting to see how it is finished. ^^ The most I know about Japanese mythology is what a "youkai" is, and that a "satori" is one of the many forms of a youkai. I keep forgetting the other ones that have appeared in Touhou, though, like Mystia's..

I knew it was a few letters longer than what I put, I just couldn't figure out what XD Hopefully I won't meet anyone with that long a last name in the future, just to avoid complications XD
I know a good portion of the cast are youkai, and the ones I can easily remember are:
-Kogasa (umbrella demon, or a karakasa) Nue (...who is a nue) and Mamizou (who is a tanuki)
-Kyouko (a yamabiko, not a puppy or whatever the fans think) and Yoshika (a jiang-shi, a Chinese kind of vampire-creature
-Parsee (a hashihime) Nitori (a kappa) and Orin (a kasha, or something like that)
And then there's the obvious ones, like Chen who is a nekomata, and Ran, who is a kitsune, and so on. I know most of them thanks to Tvtropes.org

I think the majority of the characters are youkai? There's a handfull that are human and a handful that aren't human or youkai, and then there's the few that are a mythical creature of sorts, but aren't a Japanese one. *points to Flan-chan and Remi* (I don't think vampires are Japanese.. I'm sure there are Japanese variations, though.)
I think I may be able to remember Kogasa's, since "karakasa" is sort of similar to her name. .... I forgot that Nue was a nue XD Oh, it'll be easy to remember that Mamizou is a tanuki. Kyouka is a yamabiko... I'll probably forget that one soon D: Yoshika seems to stand out among the characters, sort of, and her youkai species stands out, too, having a Chinese name, so it probably won't be too hard for me to remember XD .... I've heard about TVtropes, but I've never been there. Maybe I should go check it out.

TVTropes basically lists all the tricks of the trade you can find in fiction (so far anyway) and their usage in popular culture (hence how I managed to find out the more obscure youkai like the yamabiko and the jiang-shi) It also helps a lot when writing fiction, I've found, because you can put in all these little details that it puts in the articles (like how the yamabiko yells in mountains or something) and it lists cliches and useful notes about countries and historical events, which is useful is you happen to be writing realistic fiction.
Although I think it's imprinted on me, as now it's often common for me to talk to a person and think "wow, they fit that one trope so much it's almost scary XD" Be warned!

Touhou made me much better at navigating crowds, anyway! As well as Space Invaders. Although at my most obsessed I tend to imagine raindrops on windows as danmaku... yeah. XD
I do write fanfiction, but I tend to write it for smaller fandoms and not-as-recognised games, as it's just less pressure to abide by the rules that this certain unnamed character has a fan-decided personality, or any fanfiction with romance in it must feature or mention this specific pairing otherwise the fangirls, yaoi or otherwise, will yell at you XD The only drawback is that no-one really reads them.
