I come here just to look. I love your work. However, for a futuristic superior fighter I would have expected better stats. Climb rate and speed can be accomplished by current day fighters. Shouldn't a futuristic fighter hit hyper speed?

Depends how realistic you want to be. To go ridiculous speeds inside the atmosphere requires more expensive and exotic materials, more fuel and bigger engines (consider the scale of something like a MiG-25 with a Typhoon jet or Raptor). The windshields alone of the Blackbird used to hit several hundred degrees when flying at top speed. These drones are simply designed as small, fairly cheap substitutes with good performance.

But these guys are building space war machines so they would have some exotic metals. There is no glass on the drone. While hyper speed might not be used in a atmospheric dog fight it would help to get to or away from a situation. Just sharing my opinion.

The starfighters can achieve escape velocity Mach 25. These drones, however, are simply designed to perform in Earth atmosphere. I'm more or less going by their relative size and the limits of engines for an aircraft of this type and mission.

Climb rate 200 m/s is kind of small for an air-superiority drone of the future, F-16 has 254 m/s, Eurofighter Typhonn 315 m/s, F-15 also 254 m/s etc

Probably a tad below what it should be (most of my specs are based on aircraft of similar size and type). I can't remember exactly what I used as a basis for this, but the Daedalus engine is the same used in my Gryphon fighter, which is a supersonic analog to the A-10. I probably based the rate on the EE Lightning, only doubled.

they day that this is actually produced, those of us on the ground will be afraid. especially the civillians
