So, I was sitting at work pretending to work when I thought of my little Bambiraptor painting I'd started but not finished. I then thought, what would a Bambiraptor look like if it was painted like a parrot? So naturally the first parrot that popped into my mind was the Macaw, hence the blue, green, and yellow Bambiraptor below. I know Macaw's don't have the yellow/green wings, but I wanted a contrast with the blue a little bit.Acrylics 2007

What an interesting concept! And I'm sure there's some macaw out there somewhere that looks like this. Hell, there's three types of red and green macaws, and my personal favorite is the Blue & Gold which I think is different than blue and yellow

yeah, I didn't have gold paint. lol. And any time I tried to mix it it looked gross, so I just went with yellow. But I did find a blue and gold macaw, and kind of made up the wings and tail colors as I went. Green is a lovely accent color.
