This is a very emotionally compelling piece. The gesture is very emotional, and the whole body works to convey the tension- the arched back, the hands, the tilted head, the mouth- it all works in harmony. The folds in the dress help contribute to the ferocity of the gesture of self-hate, but they are slightly inaccurate- studying how fabric folds or using a reference would help. Thinking about what kind of fabric it is made out of and all of that good stuff- that all helps. The second line on the neck (the one closer to the hair) is unnecessary and suggests that the neck is too narrow or malformed. If you are going for a vein or muscle, have the line be less curved and drawn with colored pencil instead of pen. On the other hand, the black outlines elsewhere enhance the gesture rather than taking away from it. Great work!

No problem! And studying art can be plenty of fun- you don't have to do it in a formal way. One of the best ways to learn is just take a sketchbook and go into the city and just watch people and draw them, or you can draw friends and family members. It can be a bit awkward at first, but you can learn a lot! (Also I need to do that kind of thing more often, too!) Another important thing to do is just look at a lot of other art and try to find out what makes it successful/unsuccessful. Then you will be able to identify those things in your own work. Just keep practicing! Don't worry too much about perfection.
