Awesome stuff! I'm so surprised to see some art of this wonderful book on here, or at all for that matter! Lewis is such an amazing world builder and his Space Trilogy is criminally obscure.

I'm actually thinking of drawing all the characters in the story myself sometime in the future, would have to be a passion project for sure!

Thanks!
And best of luck to you on your own versions from the book!

What a great image! There isn't enough love for this book out there. I like how steampunky you made it too. Bravo!

This was actually my least favorite book in the trilogy, but I absolutely loved Alcansan's head so I had to draw it

It's really a dividing book. It's honestly probably best read on it's own, not really connected to Perelandra or Out of the Silent Planet since it's so utterly different. I really like it for what it is though.

Yeah as a book by itself it stands well, but as part of the trilogy it was probably weakest.

So I'd been told so I was prepared for that going in. I'd read Out of the Silent Planet a few years ago, but at the moment I'm actually reading the series for a class, so we were well informed ahead of time on the distinctiveness of this book against the other two.

But hey, I'm always down for crazy Mignola-esque disembodied heads.

OOoooohh, this was my favorite, most hated thing in the book. I love the artwork. Such a disturbing villain...

I know, after I read it I just had to draw it.
