Inspired by a woman I saw on the bus who had a port wine stain... She was proud and beautiful.

I think it has a really beautiful concept behind it. Great job! I have a port wine stain that spans the entire of my right arm so I do know what it feels like to be stared at by the public. But, it is such imperfections that make us only human so thank you for drawing this

Thank you! You are the first person with a port wine stain to respond to this. Your arm must have been hard to grow up with. The stares are only dumb instinct that makes us judge others as potential mates. Yes, if people really thought about it, instead of just reacted, they'd know that our differences make us distinct and sometimes stronger.

Thank you! Yes, I was hoping to show how the inner beauty of the woman shone through in spite of her birthmark. The mark probably made her life difficult and but it also forced her to rise above it rather than hide away.

Aw, thank you. I'm glad. It's particularly difficult for women to 'face' the world with any sort of facial (mild or extreme) deformity. It draws stares and sometimes stupid remarks. I know this because my left eye used to wander outward until my most recent eye-muscle surgery finally corrected the problem. Before the surgery I got stares (unbelievable for such a small defect), after the surgery I could blend into the crowd.

I could drive since the last eye surgery, but I'd have to wear glasses... and an eye patch! How pathetic is that? Anyway, getting into digital art has been amazing because I can zoom up to pixel level.
