Toph Bei Fong: Avatar The Last Airbender Costume

Costume was made from altered patters and winging it. I used Silk Noil for the soft garments. I hand dyed white silk to get that perfect yellow and I found green silk the right shade. I used saddle grade leather for the belt and cufts. Actually it was left over from my Astrid costume. I dyed it a darker brown.

The wig was made by me and my hair stylist. Head piece was made by me.

Note on Contact Lenses! I DID TRY TO LOCATE prescription lenses that had that "blind-clouded" look. I myself need lenses since I have pretty bad eye sight. Not as bad as Toph. But, unable to find affordable lenses that had a prescription I decided that actually being able to see and function in the costume was more important than having the "cloudy" lenses. I am still on the search for the lenses.
