What is the meaning of your title for this work. Are the lies that it is not real or just your vision of the girl in a inclined and mirrored world?
My picture also could have this title. One reason is, my wife is walking along an empty wall.

I didn't mean to not reply to your question... sorry..
The title 'lies' had to do with something that happened to the girl in real life. There were things that seemed real but were not and they trapped her in a false world (rather like a hall of mirrors) where she couldn't get her true bearings. At least that is the general concept.
And it is 'imaginary' because it is my idea of what happened . . . not necessarily hers and planned to look mirrored in a couple of ways.

Hi Myrna, first I want to thank you very much for your answer.
I had a clue, there could be more than it was to see for me.
Walking along galleries, sometimes I see a work that shows questions to me
and then I try to find an answer.
Your words are a great help and the stoy behind are giving another dimension this picture.
It is like I had it with the painting "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso. I knew that painting for a long time from books and posters
and I liked it because of Picasso's art.
In 1985 I could see it for real. It was shown in a special protected museum in Madrid, only made for this one, safed behind a skeleton
of bullitproof glass. The fear of fashists and their bombs was easy to see as well as the meaning of this picture to the spanish people.
Seing old men and woman kneeling down, praying and silently crying was very impressive to me.
This just as a little explanation for me insist to get more info.

I have never seen Guernica in person but would love to. I watched a TV show that went through the painting and told of it's history and meaning...wow!
