No, according to the Lion King novel series, Simba first had a son named Kopa, and the series revolved around him and the lessons he learns. The books weren't technically made by Disney so it isn't canon. In fan writings, Kopa is the oldest son of Simba and brother to Kiara, and in many stories and what is widely accepted among the fans is that he was killed in cubhood by Zira as revenge for Simba taking Pride Rock back and "killing" Scar (the hyenas finished him off) and then Simba exiled her and the other outsiders. It's definitely an interesting story.

Kopa is ACTUALLY just a published fan character in the popular fan series 6 New Adventures... By a guy named Alex Simmons... Disney knows nothing about him which is why he was never mentioned or shown in any Lion King films/TV shows... lionking.wikia.com/wiki/Alex_S… He does not work for Disney and has stated that Kopa is NOT canon.

well yes and no, the cub being shown in the first movie has been stated to be a boy then simba's pride came out and it was changed to a girl, however the book was published under Walt Disney's permission, so actually disney does know about him, the book is under their title, it's like saying the two authors who write World of Warcraft comics aren't known by blizzard and some of their info isn't canon when it has been stated several times that SOME of the written adaptations are canon, same with this case, Scar's past and such is canon to Disney but Kopa was not, technically...the fact that Kiara was originally a boy is a canon fact, but they changed it for Simba's pride cuz...reasons?

I'm bisexual myself, and I don't find gays offensive any more then I find straight people offensive. I just think they need to lighten up and stop being so selfish.
