This is far from good, I know. I'm still very much an amateur, let alone at taking photos of moving subjects...AND I was playing with an unfamiliar lens (Tamron 03A). On top of it all, I had the setup wrong for taking pictures at the sky. I was planning on trying to take pictures of the little perching birds in the scotch broom and pines, since I had just hung some suet blocks up. I had literally just hooked up the new lens about five minutes before this bad boy leaped up into the sky carrying a garter snake. In a mix of glee, idiocy and unfamiliarity, I ran around my yard chasing the circles this fellow was so kindly tracing in the sky. Almost as though he was like "Yes, I know I'm magnificent. Now take the picture you little twat, and get the focus right."

I know its a collage. They aren't my favorite thing ever, but I figure it's less of an annoyance to post a block of less than great pictures than a bunch of individual ones badgering the in-boxes of the watchers I do have.
