Say hello to Siepy and Michael! A very long time ago AlexPhotograpy requested a painting of her favourite porpoise, Siepy. I don't actually remember the details of her request anymore, however I had started this painting back then, and decided to finish it now The other porpoise shown is one of Siepy's best friends, and my favourite porpoise Michael. They both lived at Dolfinarium Harderwijk (Dtuch marine park) though Michael moved to another marine park in the Netherland since. Kalialover, this is for you, I hope you like it!

The title refers to the fact visitors never got to see the porpoises from underwater. However, at the facility Michael is staying now, there is a window showing their pool from below the surface

Beautiful!! Great job! I saw them for first time two years ago, in Harderwijk, and I totally love them. Are even smaller than I expected! Was a pity that was not possible to see them underwater. I wanted to go to Ecomare this year, just for see them, but IΒ΄m afraid that it wonΒ΄t be possible.

Thank you! They indeed are tiny little things, I don't know if you saw the behaviour where the trainer would pick up and animal from the water, but that especially shows how small they really are I also wanted to go to Ecomare sometie this year, to see Michael again. Too bad you can't go
