Like Momma's Boy this is a scene I'd like to see...though this one seems very unlikely now (yes...I'm still bitter about the season finale...that's why I haven't watched Avatar since it aired)...

I always saw Toph being the first one to really welcome Zuko into the group...in her own way of course...

Deep in the heart of the Fire Nation, the Avatar, his companions and their somewhat reluctant guide had stopped for something to eat. Though he had agreed to show them the ways of his people and help them get to the capitol, and they had accepted his help, due to the past between them the nation's former prince didn't feel any more comfortable with them they than they did with him.

He may have been part of the group now, but he still remained apart from it. So he grabbed a simple meal and sat some distance from them.

So he was surprised when the little earthbender approached him, flopped down on the ground beside him with a simple "Hey..." in way of greeting, reclined back against his arm and proceeded to eat...acting for all the world like they were old friends, that they'd known each other for years...

She sat there, content in his company, as if it were the most natural thing in the world...
