Description
This is a mixed media of marker,watercolor pencil and pen & ink, featuring Christ's Mother Mary, holding up the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the body of Christ revealed in the Catholic Church Mass.I thought perhaps it would be interesting to have Christ's Mother Mary holding Christ as the Eucharist, instead of the image of Him as a baby.
This is also considered an Icon, which have been made as reverence to Saints and Christ for hundreds of years, like a portrait to look upon of a family member or good friend.

I love the Blessed Mother. She has many titles. Our Lady of China, Our Lady of the Eucharist and Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament which are the same. Mary and Jesus' heart are intertwined.

For one thing, good catholic artwork is rare to come by. For another, I find the concept itself to be very original.
Keep up the wonderful work! You should make other images of the saints; I'd like to see them. Like... Saint Michael! He's one of my favorites.

And you are so kind to say and feel, that my work is some of the 'better' Catholic work out there today. That is a high compliment!
Of course I will be making more saints(St. Mike, as you know is in my gallery as an earlier entry),and may be making a new St. Therese for the winter season.
I am also considering giving this artwork away in a prize drawing, that people here can enter. Keep an eye out, cause I just may do it!
