Description
There's no strong reference to 'Alice in Wonderland' novel, despite the title. I liked the idea of painting a girl dressed in Lolita fashion
, in a surreal/fantasy background.The actual painting is 50 x 35 cm. Done in black Indian ink and watercolor.

I've never read Narnia books, but trees, abandoned houses, flying fishes and water and animals are always a typical theme of mine

Oh, I would highly recommend the series.Β It's sort of aimed at a younger audience, but still has plenty of depth.Β It is a wonderful world of magic and wonder.Β

Alice in Wonderland has always been such a great inspiration to so many people, in so many ways.Β Rarely have I seen any other work take so many twists and turns in the imaginations of so many different people, from the light and silly, to the dark and macabre.
I love your Alice here -- a little older looking than some renditions, but still light and airy, carried away by her books and stories and dreams and hopes and fears...

When I was a little girl I honestly didn't like Alice in Wonderland. I started appreciating it when growing up...I think a young adult could like and understand the story more than a child. But it's just my opinion

Heh...Β sounds a little like me and Shakespeare.Β I didn't have a clue when I read some of the plays in HS, but when I got to college, had a teacher who really loved the work, could explain some of the context, and frankly, started understanding some of Shakespeare's jokes... suddenly it got interesting.
You always think of Alice in Wonderland as a book for young people, but I really think Lewis Carroll had an older audience in mind...Β Like a lot of great literature, it can certainly be understood on several different levels!
