So I finally saw Megamind.YES I DREW ALL OVER THE TEXT WHY DO YOU ASK?
I like doing memes now because it's a good excuse to figure out how to draw the characters in a new fandom, also a good excuse to download tons of reference pictures.
My expressions don't do that movie justice, the animation was incredible.
Don't have much to say here that I didn't say in the meme. Just the general pleasant surprise at how much I loved this movie.
Like everyone else I have to compare it to Dr Horrible, and I have to say I can't decide which one I liked more.
I particularly liked that Metro Man was more of a sympathetic character as opposed to Captain Hammer being a Jerk Jock type.
Anyway it's too late for me to write a huge comparison right now.

I would love to see a comparison between Megamind and Dr. Horrible! It amazes me how vastly the Horrible fangroup came out of the shadows when Megamind came out. I'm discovering so many people I knew were totally fans, and I never even knew about it.
And yeah, Memes are an awesome excuse to just doodle out expressions and scenes without really feeling like to have to put much effort into it.

It makes sense and I'm so glad u feel the same for MM as I do... it was really unexpected (the movie), and it turned out to be one of my most favourite movies of all time!

At least you're not comparing it to Tangled. That was an odd one. (And I don't think anybody's compared it to the Incredibles. Poor several-years-old movie.) Comparing Dr. Horrible to Megamind's pretty interesting tho', 'cause none of the characters really line up nice and cleanly.

Well at heart they're both stories that follow a sympathetic villain focusing on a love story that could have/did redeem each character respectively. I think they have a lot in common thematically despite very different endings.
Incredibles had a similar vibe artistically and humor wise, but I wouldn't compare them so much. Incredibles was more a loving homage to old school heros.

I know, right? That's why I didn't see the movie in theaters (huge regret on that one) and it took me forever to finally watch it.
Honestly I put it on while I was painting as background noise, then I realized I'd completely stopped what I was doing to watch the movie.

That's me all over! My little sister had to turn me on to the movie. I was super skeptical, until I saw a few scenes online. Then we just HAD to rent it. Once the whole family saw it, we just HAD to buy it! It has such great characters and personal stakes, which is so refreshing from a few recent movies I can think of, where lots of action happens but no one really cares.
