I am intersexed, and so are many other people. I'm not ashamed to be an XY female.There were no intersex badges at all as far as I could find, so here is one. Please feel free to use it.

this is very old, but intersex is being born with either both genitals, (usually only one, or none works) an abnormally large clitoris for female (like 1 - 2 inch) or having different chromosomes.Β

i hope i dont sound rude or invasive, but can intersex genitalia get erect? say if someone has both penis and vagina, can the penis get erect? and whats going on internally? do they have seminal glands, or ovaries , or both?Β

Yes, I'm an intersex and my male genitals can become erect just as easily as a regular male's

I'm happy that you're proud of what you are 
For myself, I'm a girl, but inside my mind I don't see myself as either male or a female. So I'm kinda...intersexual at my mind, but my body is..."normal" haha.

Could you help me? I'm going to submit a deviation on envy within the GLBTQ community, and I'm going to include intersexual problems. This is what I have so far:
-They have to figure out their gender
-If their physical and sexual problems become really bad, they have to have surgery
-If they donβt have surgery, they can usually only date bisexuals because heteros and homos are only attracted to cisgenders
-Cisgenders think an intersexual's body is hilarious and gross
Could you tell me of problems I missed? Could you tell me if I got something wrong?

Well, the vast majority of us can never conceive a child (myself included)
I'm at high risk of tumours on my dysfunctional gonads unless I have them surgically removed (you pretty much covered that)
Umm... I never finished puberty and I don't think my whatsits are even primed for sexual intercourse, not that it bothers me being asexual
Many intersexed babies are surgically assigned genders at birth - tantamount to mutilation
Think about Caster Semenya- she was publicly humiliated and there is still no answer to the question of gendered sport separation when it comes to intersexed people.

I'm reading articles about intersexed people for my Gender Diversity class and I'm just appalled.
People are people! No one can help what they were born as and people are whatever they feel they are, no matter the "plumbing". The alienation and things I hear about make me so sad because I just want to meet anyone who feels like that and just tell them that I don't care, that they're normal to me and it is part of them, not something to be ashamed of.
In this society of the gender binary, I think we need to just open our eyes and see that our single minded drive to categorize people into one or the other sex is just WRONG. People are different and unique.
As a human being, I am proud of your pride.

What's intersex, you mean? It's when someone is born with physical & genetic characteristics between male and female. In my case, I was meant to turn out male, but a malfunctioning gene caused me to be female without ovaries.
