First time I ever painting clouds that don't completely suck : D They're not perfect mind you, but much progress was made. Painted this as a possible portfolio piece
CRITICISM IS ENCOURAGED. Seriously, let me know if something is off so that I can fix it before using it in a portfolio.
:EDIT: Wow, thanks so much for the DD! And keep those crits coming, I'm going to change some stuff around with her face, seeing as there are issues with the angle of some of her facial features

Thanks! I don't mind at all. I used a hard edged round brush set at 100% opacity and flow, spacing set at 1%, opacity and flow jitter at 0%, both set on pen pressure. After that I overlayed some textures from CGtextures.com to add some, well, texture : D

Oooh, so the skin texture is FROM a texture. I thought you used a certain brush for that, haha.

This is very nicely done. The only issue I can see is one already mentioned: the perspective on the visible nostril is a bit off.
Other than that, I think the angles of the features on the face make the image very striking. I also like the pale eyes, which only add to the striking appearance.
I really like the texture of the hair, too. The clouds make me think of some sort of heavenly vision.
Again, really well done.

Congratulations with the DD - very well deserved!! I love the colours and overall emotion of the piece, her expression makes me feel nostalgic somehow. You did say you wanted criticism regarding detail and whatnot...Well, the only thing I could mention here is the curve of her lips. They look perfect at the corners, then stretch out into a shape that either means she is pulling a face on the side we cannot see or they were drawn at a slightly lower angle. It's a minute mismatch, not a glaring mistake, but I thought you might want to know ^^"

Beautiful piece! It's almost monochromatic...but just the subtle bit of green you bring in works perfectly, as complementary colors should. That's a hard combo to pull off, too, without looking "Christmasy."

Crit wise I suppose the mouth angles down a little too much and the nostrils are large (though the latter could well be a character trait?) .. I feel bad just saying so though, as your colouring is absolutely outstanding.
If only I could show you a little portraiture in exchange for learning how to colour like you do.. but quite frankly I think you'd know it all already

This is simply stunning. Since you asked for critique, however, I can suggest that you add some darker areas to her hair and shade it a little more to add some more depth. This was the first thing I noticed about the painting; it seems a tiny bit flat in comparison to her face. I adore the colourscheme, you did a beautiful job ♥

This here is really great. Really.
There's really nothing that I don't like about it, particularly the clouds. It gives me a "silence before the storm" sort of vibe. Like a squall is coming. She could be a protector or goddess. Something like that. The skin tones are amazing and the hair is done quite nicely; the highlights and shading are done perfectly. Also, the angle is fine... nothing wrong with it. As a whole, I'd say it is absolutely perfect, but I'm no professional; I just know what I like.

I don't know if this has been really mentioned, I just skimmed over the comments, but there was the mention of the upper lip looking weird. I believe it looks odd because the perspective of the lips is a bit off, the upper lip (or both, but the bottom lip looks fine to me) needs to be tilted up more, not much, just a little bit.
I'm fairly sure that's why it looks odd, but I haven't had a figure drawing class in a while O_o Feel free to disregard if you don't agree lol.

You are very right! I don't know why, but at some point I started painted her facial features as if they were seen from lower point of view... thus, her face looks kinda weird

I think the nostril is a little too big, it's almost as if you're looking up at her, from under her chin, that's how big it looks. Also the lighting under the bottom lip looks a bit odd. Other than that, this is absolutely amazing *o*

I think its because I painted some of her facial features in a way that they seem almost at an angle, and some aren't. So in the end it looks funny like that xD I'll try fixing some stuff, thanks for the crit
