If my biography existed in a visual form, it would be this beautiful image. For a while, I had to drive on lonely highways in the middle of the night all the time. Sometimes it was peaceful. Sometimes it was unnerving. I saw some disturbing things.
For me, this also represents an inner journey: the journey of the artist or the journey of the soul.
The contrast between dark and light is incredible. There is intricate detail on the trees, but they still look thick and foreboding. The tiny car against the dense, massive trees illustrates the feeling of facing powerful, mysterious forces. Those little headlights will have to fight quite a bit of darkness.

I always imagined a quaint car ride through a dark, foggy, eerie forest (with the headlights off, of course) as a sort of perfect moving imagery to sleep to. Foggy enough to hide what you faintly imagine, dark enough to invent scenes in the shadows and outlines, eerie enough to let your mind wander, but peaceful enough to give you room to dream. This rather captures the concept for me perfectly.
