Sorry if there are english mistakes !I use mangastudio 4 for drawing, and mangastudio 5 for coloring.
I use only 2 brushes Flat 1 and Flat 2 that you can find it here : http://nesskain.deviantart.com/art/Brushes-for-MS5-388943293 (click download on the right)
And airbrush for soft effect.

Also, the "add glow" effect would be Layer Styles > Outer Glow for anyone who wants to replicate the effect with Photoshop!

Can't believe you do this all in mangastudio - I have underestimated that program! I do believe the tool that you would use in Photoshop is the dodge/burn tool which you can adjust to either darken or lighten the highlights, mid-range and the shadows. I just saw your work on www.moviepilot.com and I think your take on Harry Potter would definitely make a great comic and I hope that those in charge will hire you to make it so

This is beautiful. So far I've only colored in photoshop. Are there equivalent brushes in photoshop to the Flat 1 and Flat 2 in Mangastudio 5?

I don't think so, As photoshop's brushes don't blend properly.
