i actually had this dream. a long time ago. i was in my parents' bed, and my head just kind of floated off. 'twas odd.
graphite on bristol board. not too big, not too small...8x9, maybe?

For some reason this smacks of "Waking Life." But I must concur with the rest in that this piece is a wonderful work of art. Just as a quick comment, I think that if you had made the shading in the upper right a little more violent and abrupt it would place in it the dream world a little more. Would contrast well with the overall smoothness of shading in the rest of the piece.

Wow... that must have been a ... weird dream.... The shading on this is incredible! The fabric components look so real, it's a real trick to the eye. Plus the head is perfect... Incredible drawing skill, to my eyes, and a really cool freaky drawing... awesome!

everything headboard down is very successful,
everything headboard up, is not.
that shading in the upper right is horrendous and you know it.
also, that is the least likeness in a portrait i've seen you do in a long time.
the picture and mirror (?) on the wall, however, are pretty nice, so i guess my beef is just with the wall and the head.

did you see the room so clearly? because often the outskirts of any dream image are fuzzed out for me, i only feel boundaries, i can't "see" them. very good execution by the way.

actually, everything was pretty clear - it's what set it apart in my mind from other dreams, in which i usually get the blurred-out edges thing also.

great work on the sheets and all the folds!! it contrasts well w/ the more linear wall... I'd make the shirt stand more apart from the pillow on the left... Otherwise i think it's great surrealism! the lack of color really fits the idea too!!!

Wow. That is nuts. Do you think that you might be trying to tell yourself something? Awsome art. I wish I could draw out my dreams. One in particular, I put it up on deviant art if you ever want to see it. Its called 'Dream of things past'. Most of it is so... abstract when I saw it. Many of my dreams would make awsome works of art.

This is pretty disturbing. as in, i actually have chills down my spine. I think the most successful part is your shirt or the wrinkles on the pillowcase- very very realistic, in my opinion.
