Yeah. I don't like the mindset a lot of people have... shouldn't we judge him on who he is beneath his skin? D: Oh well.
Hehehe. The poster? XD

I do not get politicans at all.
But I'm glad to see that it isn't just in Germany, but seemingly everywhere, huh?
Nice art work, btw.

I do not know if Obama hate America but he may dislike or difficulties dealing with certain areas, (cannot please everyone, right?) I know in Canada, some provinces have felt hated or dlisliked because the prime minister disliked dealing with issues that was applicable to the area. We had one Prime Minister who hated dealing with Western Canada , in fairness he did grow up in eastern Canada and went to school there and continued to live there, but he dealt with the problems but it always leaned towards the east, so a lot of people in western canada felt he hated canada but in truth it was simply him not knowing how to adress problems in the west.

Haha. I know I can't make assumptions about someone, especially one I've never met, but he has done some things that I think was in his power, but chose to do. For example, he was probably the first president to apologize to other counties for being America. Like...he's saying we're sorry? o.O For what? And I think he knows better than to spend so much of the government's money, but he's doing it still. It's just really fishy to me.

=_= Only if my fave candidate, Mitt Romney, gets a chance to run. I wish people (voters, media, etc) would have looked at his "track record" as a governor and all the other things he did as a leader instead of aspects *coughhisreligioncough* that no one *dares* to ask Obama about. I've seen Romney in action as a leader and it's an awesome thing to see!

Ha, I heard he might run again in the next election, but I could be wrong! I actually didn't look deeply into his policies then, though, cause I was still pretty new and dumb to politics...
And it was rather ironic that Obama's religion wasn't questioned by many people while Romney's was a huge debate... those Mormon stereotypes really bite in the butt sometimes =v=; The polygamy one, especially...

In my English class I teach students to be cautious of people's characters or abilities being called into question b/c of stereotypes. Stereotyping is a logical fallacy.
PS how do you do that smaller font?

NiaNook33 In reply to PoisonousTiger [2011-04-09 17:03:28 +0000 UTC]
Hah, more teachers should do that! People deserve more justice than to be lumped in with the worst of their groups, like saying "German's are all Jew-haters" for example...
Smaller font, just type
< small > (and get rid of the spaces between them)
and to end the smaller font, type
< / small > (once again without spaces)

The part that always amazes me is when I point out how stupid it is to stereotype people there's always 1 or two students who go "O__O really? I didn't know that was bad." and I'm like ". . ." *facepalm* =_=
Thanks for the tip. Now I just need to figure out how to do the strikethrough text and I'll be almost set ^_^

I think it's more that they don't realize that stereotypes are full of crap hasty generalizations. For example, one student said she did her best not to pass judgement on how good of a teacher I was when she saw I had blond hair. Another student didn't realize that it is incorrect thinking that all fat people are happy. and those were just the mild misconceptions We see what we want to see. If we think all politicians are corrupt, we will only see the evidence of that in the news and fail to notice any evidence to the contrary. I think the "fallacies" segment of my class is my favorite b/c I get to dispel a lot of fallacious thinking.

It's certainly an interesting occupation. Each semester is different (for example, one student in my teacher evaluations said that she/he thought the fallacy part of class was pointless, that he/she already learned that stuff in high school. I was like =_= *facepalm* "The rest of the class didn't know all that stuff" *sigh*. I like to get feedback from these evaluations but sometimes the anonymity of the whole thing allows the students to be cruel or, as is in this case, say silly things like that.)

Yumi-Spica In reply to NiaNook33 [2010-10-30 04:27:57 +0000 UTC]
True enough, but it all really depends who's handling it. Plus when you really think about it, the government is actually more corrupt then the people who work for it. Because the Government has a twisted way to show things and bring out the ugly in the people who are suppose to represent it...Do I make sense?
-sigh- Sometimes I'm afraid people will never learn, and theres a chance that they won't. Nowdays its all about whats easier, faster, and what can benefit a type a people( And to be clear, I do not mean race. I mean like classes - upper class, middle class, low class, and the homeless.) Its times like this I think I'm born in the wrong era because nowdays its all about looks and publicity. It seems there is no honesty left.

Mnn, I see what you mean for the most part. Power tends to corrupt =v=; Still, someone needs to be in charge! And when people tried having nobody in charge- AKA, communism...well, you know the story.
So basically as long as there are corrupt people, there will be corruption in a government

Ehh Its human nature though to want power and control, granted it comes in ranges from a min to a max but its still there. Yeaaaah -_- Pffft If we became communist, what is the point of 'Home of the Brave'? Probably change it if we did but..I think we just need someone who can just tell it like it is and get this country back into shape! With no short cuts, because I do believe that the honest way is the right way when it comes to handling matters and not something you just sweep under teh rug.
Weeell in truth, yes that could be correct. But, there will always be corruption everywhere. Its part of humanity and will power, to comes face to face with your own desires and knowing what right and full of justice! Because even though American has fallen from its once high place, its in our history that we fight for what we want and that we can survive and overcome the fears and the hate that come along with being an American. Its the dream that keeps people coming here and wanting to see a better life.
