So this is one of my first REAL attempts with my graphite pencils. I did it for the Sess/Kag Sci-Fi contest for August and since it'll be a few months until I can afford my tablet, I thought I'd go traditional on this one. Overall, I'm happy with it, even if my scan wasn't the greatest.
The idea here is that Kagome is in a parallel world that Sesshomaru can't get to. And now that she is lost to him, he's lost in despair. It's a little darker theme-wise than I intended, but I like it better that way. Most of my stuff has been too sappy lately. If anyone wants to know what the phrase on the mirror says, it's "Abyssus Abyssum Invocat." Which is Latin for "Deep calleth unto deep." Or it can also mean "Sea calls to sea." (~Wikipedia)
Edit: I forgot to put in credit for the stock I used. Naughty me. I promise it will not happen again, but please check out these gorgeous photos that helped this picture come to life.

This is an amazing piece of work! And I like your take of the theme, since most would stick to something spaceship or alien-centrique. Just a little thing though, maybe it's the accidental smudge, but his shoulder looks like it has a sort of depression that shouldn't be possible ._. I still absolutely love this though!

Yes, his shoulder.... on the reference I used, that was the dark spot of his shoulder, but although it looked like a totally normal top of the shoulder there, in my picture I couldn't stop it from looking like an indent. Not much I could do once it happened though, so just had to let it fly. I swear I tried though lol, it just didn't cooperate.
Thank you for your complements on the theme, I really wanted to try the path less traveled on this one. Hopefully, originality will gain me some points here, and gain some forgiveness where my actual talent may fall short.
