Now that all that thoughtART junk is done, here's a REAL NiftyNautilus picture!
You know those Sunny puppets with the big mouths and yarn hair that can sometimes be found in gift shops? Some people find them creepy, but I think that they're kind of cute. I decided to draw more of them in a more "anthro" style-the cheerleader with the frizzy sunrise of hair from this (fav.me/d7b3apj) picture included.
The girl on the far left is based on the Sunny puppet that I see the most often. I think you've seen her before-black ponytail (although I've seen a pigtailed version of her once), rainbow shirt, and denim jumper dress. She's so adorable-I liked drawing her as a human because her rainbow shirt is so colorful and fun to draw.
Both the blonde girl in the purple outfit and the black girl in the red outfit are really just palette swaps, but I included them anyway just for fun. I think that adding the eye shadow on both of them came out pretty good-the blonde in particular looks like one of those girls that's popular, but in a kind sort of way.
I actually had the glove puppet variant of the girl in the red "SUNNY" shirt when I was little-I gave the puppet to my little sister, so I think that this one I didn't have to rely on memory for as much. She is one of my favorite ones up here-I saw a variant of her with Lennon glasses once, but I decided not to add those as not to obscure her eyes.
Then, there's the cheerleader that I drew in a previous picture. I don't have a lot to say about her, but I do like her slightly (somehow) retro feeling she has. She looks like a character from a movie filmed at least 35 years ago for whatever reason.
Finally, we have the surfer girl marionette that I saw at this one place when I was on vacation last month. I liked how she came out here, and decided to add a surfboard. I'm not sure that her shoes look all that accurate, though.
