Description
Since I just joined the MLP fandom, the first thing I had to do was, of course, the almost ritualistic humanizations. I looked at the canonical Equestria Girls ones, and personally, I didn't really like them a whole lot, so I decided to do my own humanizations and depict the Mane 6 as I saw them.
Twilight Sparkle-As we all know, she's the "front mare" of the group (and now my favorite character on the show). I kept the hairstyle, but put the cutie mark as a headband (or hair clip). She's very much the intellectual type, so I decided to make her outfit a cross between a schoolgirl's uniform and what Lois Lane from Superman would wear. I really like how her plaid skirt came out-I'm not good at drawing plaid, but thanks to the fact that I like some characters that wear it/draw humanizations wearing it, I'm perfecting my skills.
Fluttershy-Okay, I can safely say that it's hard to find a good humanization of her. A lot of people make her a "fanservice" girl, but I couldn't imagine her-let alone anypony-as that type of character. I drew her in a simple butterfly-print dress (it's pretty obvious where I put her cutie mark) because I thought that it would suit her very well. I also drew her as barefoot because I imagined her as a "back-to-nature" girl, seeing as she loves animals and nature.
Pinkie Pie-Personally, I think that she and Rarity look the best out of all the characters. While I have seen some decent Pinkie humanizations, I hate how a lot of people make her fat, even though she has the same physique as the others. Instead, I decided to make her about average, but instead chose to make her look childish and energetic, like a bouncy party girl. I decided to make her clothes look childish, like what a little girl would wear, because she has a playful, energetic personality. Her cutie mark is on her t-shirt, of course. I think that her purple pants with the heart embroidery really fit her character.
Applejack-I admit, I didn't particularly care for her Equestria Girls form, as she looked too much more like a country singer than a farm girl. We've all seen Applejack before-she likes to get her hooves dirty, she does lots of farm chores, and she's really not the type you would expect to go around in a miniskirt. So, of course I drew her in a bandanna, overalls, and a flannel shirt, plus her trademark cowgirl hat. She even has an apple-homegrown from Sweet Apple Acres, of course!
Rarity-Also, another humanization that not a whole lot of people seem to "nail". While I do like the idea of drawing her in a dress, most people just make it a plain sundress. While that's okay, it's not the most "Rarity-ish" thing-she designs a lot of elaborate dresses and is obviously a fashionista. I decided to make her dress fancy, but not too over the top, and added a lot of expensive-looking jewelry. Her cutie mark is her earrings, but I could really only use two diamonds for that instead of three. I had trouble with her hairdo because of the curl, but I tried my best and think that it looks pretty good.
Rainbow Dash-I cannot stress how much the Equestria Girls version is out of character. She's obviously blatantly a tomboy, so a pink miniskirt wouldn't really look right on her. I drew her in jeans, a jersey, and if you look closely-her cutie mark is on her sneakers (I think that a human version of her would probably be on a track team, judging by her athletic flight abilities in the cartoon).
