Sensitive people, able to perceive the call of Cthulhu, sometimes see R'lyeh in a dream.Β

An interesting coincidenceβ¦Β Β
I have one question. Distortions that occur in the city arise not only because of the water?Β In fact, these distortions occur because of other dimensions?Β Β

Interesting question, though I am not sure I have the answer.Β The architecture is referred to as 'non euclidean', which is often thought of as the impossible M.C. Escher kind of formations.Β But, how did Cthulhu or his minions create the impossible architecture?Β Perhaps it is alien technology, dimensional warping or perhaps an effect from Cthulhu's intensely malevolent psychic strength.

Thanks for the reply. Only Lovecraft himself can give a definitive and understandable (not sure about that) answer to this question.

If there ever was an emulation of H.R. Giger...

That's quite flattering, thank you.Β I once got to hang my art next to his at a Lovecraftian museum exhibit in Switzerland.... both a great honor and a humbling experience.Β This particular painting is about the closest I've intentionally gotten to Giger's style (with some M.C. Escher thrown in the mix).

I was reading recently some of HPL works. Now I'm drawing quasi-tribal Cthulhu and writing short story related to Yog-Sothoth. And I love your vision of R'lyeh. Peace. ;]

i like your work! probably a dumb question, but have you seen the black-and-white silent film for "Call of Cthulhu"? It's the most faithful to the material i'v seen

Thank you!
I have seen it, it's fantastic! The same creators (HPL Historical Society) just released a "Whisperer in Darkness" film, which I am very excited to see.

Thanks, K! It was a tricky one for me to do, as I tend to be such a logical painter. I had to break a lot of my own rules, which is rather liberating.

That's awesome! Really looks like a sunken megapolis, and not the pile of stones many artists like to draw.

Thank you very much, it was a bit of a daunting challenge to try and even come close to what Lovecraft must have meant.
